Jeroen (34) and Michiel (33) have shared the same passion from a young age: hunting and nature.
For Jeroen, the adventure began at just five years old, when he entered the forest together with his grandfather. At eighteen, he obtained his hunting license right away. Today, he is married to Anne, the photographer behind Sauerjaegers. Together they have a daughter.
Michiel joined the hunt from the age of ten alongside his uncle and got his hunting license in one go at twenty years old. Today, that shared passion is proudly passed on to the next generation, as Michiel’s two young sons already love spending time outdoors.

Where and how did you meet Stijn/Forgehunt?
The knives from Forgehunt immediately stood out to us because of their look and finish. At a fair, we had the chance to see them up close and started talking with Stijn, the face behind Forgehunt.
Not long after, Anne surprised Jeroen with a Deerstalker as a gift. It quickly became clear this was not just any knife, but a tool you can truly rely on.
Your most memorable experience with your Forgehunt knife.
After intensive use, our first impression was fully confirmed: Forgehunt stands for pure, solid quality. In the field, the knife proves its value time and again. Opening a wild boar using the reversed blade went smoothly, controlled, and remarkably clean. Exactly what you expect from a professional working knife: efficient, reliable, and perfectly balanced.

Your hunting goals for the coming year.
We don’t hunt for titles or trophies. For us, it’s about being together with friends, experiencing the outdoors, and sharing authentic moments with like-minded people. Quality, respect for nature, and tradition are key.
What the future brings? We prefer to write that story together, in the forest, hunting memories and meaningful moments.
